GulfCalc is an independent mathematical simulation and calculation utility. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any government ministry, court, or statutory authority within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
1. No Legal, Tax, or Financial Advice
The information, computational algorithms, and reference materials available through GulfCalc (gulfcalc.tech) are provided strictly for general informational, educational, and preliminary estimation purposes. Nothing contained on this website constitutes formal legal counsel, certified tax advice, accounting opinions, or financial advisory services.
2. Non-Replacement of Official Determinations
While our engineering team rigorously benchmarks formulas against primary statutory instruments (e.g., Kuwait Labour Law No. 6/2010, Saudi Labour Law Royal Decree M/51, UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 33/2021 and Law No. 47/2022, Qatar Law No. 14/2004, Oman Royal Decree 53/2023, and Bahrain Law No. 36/2012), calculated figures do not replace official adjudications made by:
- Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), UAE;
- Federal Tax Authority (FTA), UAE;
- Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), Saudi Arabia;
- Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), Saudi Arabia;
- Public Authority for Manpower (PAM), Kuwait;
- Ministry of Labour, Qatar;
- Ministry of Labour, Sultanate of Oman;
- Ministry of Labour & Social Insurance Organisation (SIO), Bahrain.
3. Contractual Variations and Exclusions
Individual employment contracts, collective bargaining agreements, specialized free zone regulations (such as DIFC or ADGM in the UAE, or QFC in Qatar), and disciplinary history can substantially impact terminal benefits. In particular:
- Employees enrolled in an alternative corporate gratuity savings scheme or state pension may be subject to separate contribution offset rules;
- Gross misconduct or summary dismissal under statutory provisions (e.g., Article 80 in Saudi Arabia or Article 41 in Kuwait) can nullify terminal dues;
- Corporate tax liability may vary based on qualifying free zone income, interest capping rules, and non-deductible entertainment expenses.
4. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall GulfCalc, its developers, operators, or contributors be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, financial losses, severance disputes, corporate tax penalties, or contractual misunderstandings) arising in any way from the use of, or inability to use, the calculations provided on this site.
